National park Pieniny

  • situated in North-east of High Tatra offers on its polish-slovak border a number of picturesque nateral beauties ona small area. The attraction of this area is suicing on wooden rafts on the biggest canyon in Central Europe on the Dunajec river from the float port Majere – Kvašné Lúky – to Lesnica is 11 km long, from the Červený Kláštor port to Lesnica 9 km or according to wishes.

  • bus, taxi, bicycles or on foot through signed pathes.

Touristic trips (on foot to the surroundings):

  • from the raft stop Lesnica through break of Lesnický potok in a beautiful scenery to Haligovské rocks signet paths, with a view on Spišská Magura, High Tatra, part of Polen.
  • from end raft stop along Dunajec to Červený Kláštor with possibility to visit the museum inside the monastery.

Car trips:

  • Poland-Sczavnica-spa, or foot trip too, from the end raft stop through frontier passage on polish side of Dunajec to Three Crowns (the highest point, 982 meters over see level).
  • Poland-Niedzieca-dam and castle (4 km from Majere village).

Niedzica castle – Poland

  • The castle is 566 metres above sea level. It was built in 1320 – 1326, by Kokoš, from Brezorica. It was an important route for Uhorsko – Polish connections, and was the centre of an extensive estate, also they owned lots of land by the Dunajec river and in Zamagurie.
